We are a non profit, voluntary, band who provide musical support for various local charities in and around Bury for fund raising events, whilst maintaining our connection with the traditions and history of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in the town. Supporting the town and community organisations is at the heart of what we do.

Due to the recent closure of the Castle Armoury building we have sadly had to leave our home of 25 years. The Band and Drums are not officially recognised as a Military or Cadet organisation so we reached out to our fellow Fusiliers at the Museum for help and they gave us the support to which we are so grateful.

We currently practice in the Minden suite but the practicality is the room is also used for conferences and private functions so the room will not always be available to us. There is a basement area currently used for storage and the intention is to convert this space in to a functional practice room and to make it a shared area for ourselves and for community organisations to make use of during the day.

If we can't create the space required we may have to locate to new premises which could potentially be out of town. Please help us stay where we belong, in the heart of the community and help us carry on our tradition of community spirit and regimental history, in honour, and in memory of the legend, which is Lt.Col (rtd) Eric Davidson MBE DL
