I am planning to run 10km in the Sahara in 3 months (February 28th 2017) as part of a solidarity project (http://www.saharamarathon.org/home/).

I will be spending 1 week in a refugee camp near Tindouf, in the Algerian desert where thousands of refugees have lived for over 40 years. I intend to make a short documentary about the life in the camp, the Western Sahara conflict in general and how sport plays an important role in their everyday life. The general idea is to raise awareness on what is often referred to as the last colony in Africa and a conflict that the media has literally …deserted.

All donations will contribute towards this project that includes transportation and accommodation in the camps but also some initiative on the ground (the medal are hand made by the women in the camp and will be bought of them).
