Josie is an identical twin who was born prematurely at 29 weeks. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at one year old. We have been waiting 2 years for a consultation to see if she would be suitable for SDR surgery, which will significantly improve her walking capabilities.

Following the recent consultation at Great Ormond Street Hospital, we have been advised Josie is a suitable candidate for the SDR surgery. She will be admitted into hospital on 4th November for 3 weeks, then a year of intensive rehabillitation and physiotherapy. This is an expensive treatment process, and not funded by the NHS, but the potential benefits will make a dramatic improvement to Josie's quality of life.

The surgery itself is £27,000, which Sarah and myself are paying for, your donations will go directly to help funding the aftercare rehabillitation for Josie which we estimate will cost approx £300 per week for at least a year
