Story
Our fabulous and courageous Mum died in the early hours of Boxing Day. She was diagnosed with Fahr's disease - a rare neurological disease, similar to Parkinsons Disease - similar but very different. Due to it being so rare, there are no treatments and no cure. Mum gave the ultimate gift - giving her brain to medical research. The Cambridge Brain Bank at Addenbrooke's Hospital have been both efficient and compassionate in helping us make this gift. We are hopeful that by making such a brave donation of our Mum's brain we can help future generations diagnosed with Fahr's disease and other neurological conditions. This is a cruel disease and so much more research is needed. Please help us support the Cambridge Brain Bank in the fantastic work that they do. Your support would be greatly appreciated by our lovely Mum, us as a family and also future generations.
