On 7th May 2016 our baby boy was born 7weeks early and weighed just 2lb 12oz at his lowest.

I was admitted as a patient a month before but luckily lasted another 4 weeks before or little man made an appareance.

The nicu doctors were amazing from the beginning, explaining things and giving plenty of opportunities for questions and even a chance to visit the unit before baby came to prepare us.

During the three weeks we were on the unit the staff were all beyond amazing, caring for our baby and so many others.

As parents spending allot of time at the unit and even staying over in their family rooms we were able to identify simple things that would help parents and visitors to the unit. These include extra reclining comfortable chairs, extra breast pump machines and a better tv for the staff to use to deliver the resuscitation training offered to parents before discharge.

I'm so greatful for the care we were all given and would love to give something back. Please help me to do so, helping a unit that helps so many in such difficult times. Thank you in advance xx
