Story
My name is Midnight and right now I’m being looked after in the ICU in the hospital at Worsley because I was run over by a car on Thursday night.
I’m two years old, and I’m scared, not just because I’m in pain and I don’t know if I’m going to live, but because I’m a “stray” cat and I don’t know when they are going to give up on me.
This picture is the only one they have, I was one of the “wasteland kittens” they found, but I ran away, it’s over a year old, and I’m looking more bashed up today, but I’m still me.
The hospital is trying to keep me stable to give my brain time to heal, but they think it’s going to cost up to £3000 to keep me here for a week, and I have no family to turn to, no home I call my own, and every day I’m alive now is down to donations from kind people who are paying for my care. One lady has paid for the first £1000 to get me through my first nights, but I need longer to survive.
Will you help me?
They are looking after me in a lovely warm special oxygen pen in ICU, are giving me lots of fluids and morphine to keep me hydrated and manage my pain, but the car impact has caused my brain to swell up, so I’ve gone blind and I don’t know what’s going to happen next.
They say I might have a fractured leg, and jaw, and maybe other breaks, but I’m not stable enough to go under a general anaesthetic so if I do, we’ll just have to deal with them later.
Right now, I need to stay alive. My brain needs to stop swelling. And I need to get through the pain to the other side.
You are my only hope.

Midnight found a wonderful new home with a cat-mum she loves and a furry-brother she follows around like a puppy! 6 years agoHi, We are now actively looking for a forever home for Midnight - could you share her facebook post and give me a call if you, or someone that you know, would like to find out more about adopting her? This page closes at the end of March but you can keep following her on facebook and see how she's doing... https://www.facebook.com/AnniesAnimalsCharity/ I set this up as a page on my FB profile just for her so any potential adopters can see her story, so all the photos and videos are just of Midnight! Follow her progress - it's amazing!
