    Story

    Hi, I'm Millie

This summer I am volunteering in Fiji with Think Pacific, in order to teach children living in some of the most deprived areas. For the whole time i am there, i will be living with a Fijian family, experiencing their culture on a whole new level. Me and 22 other students for Nottingham Trent University will be teaching the children basic educational and sports skills every day throughout the trip.

If your like me, i wasn't actually aware of the level of poverty in Fiji. I was shocked to find out that:
    - Only 5% of children receive early years education.
-75% of children live under the poverty line.
-50% have inadequate access to clean water.

By joining Think Pacific and volunteering in Fiji i will play a huge part in the children's lives, learning them the most crucial stages of education and giving them the support that every child deserves.

In order to fundraise i will be doing The 5k RunNTU, i am not a runner so this is going to be a huge challenge for me. The first £400 of fundraising will go towards Think Pacific to help pay for supplies and educational resources for the children of Fiji. The rest of the donations go towards helping me pay for travel expenses ect... for the trip.

Head over to Think Pacific's website to see all of their amazing work for your self!

    Every donation is HUGELY appriciated!
    THANK YOU!!!
