We are 8 close friends who met at Leeds University 20 years ago . Our intention is to give something back to others and to do our little bit for those less fortunate or going through a difficult time .

We are hoping to raise as much funds as possible to be divided equally for 3 causes very close to our hearts especially during the month of Ramadan .

The 8 of us will be climbing mount Ben Nevis over the Bank Holiday Monday 29th of May 2023 .

We hope all our family, friends , colleagues and contacts can contribute generously and support us to at least reach our minimum target of £12k before we climb Ben Nevis at the end of May.

The 3 charities we intend to raise funds for are :

1. Oral Cancer - Mouth Cancer Foundation

The majority of the participants have dental & medical backgrounds, as such oral cancer is of significant concern for us. The Mouth Cancer Foundation exists to save and improve the lives of patients, carers and survivors, increase awareness and education all about this life threatening illness .

2. MIND - Mental Health & Well-being

Life can get tough for any of us at any time especially with recent events. This can affect an individual’s mental health and could lead to unfortunate repercussions for the person and their family. Mind is here to support people with mental health issues and we all need to support anyone who may be suffering.

3. Turkey earthquakes - UWT

Turkey and Syria have recently had one of the worst natural disasters in our memory. The earthquake has literally destroyed families and homes .It is our duty as fellow human beings to help the victims in their time of suffering and need .
