My music class and I are holding a charitable music concert as part of our GSCE. It will be held at Hailsham Community College on Monday 13th March 2017. We have chosen 2 different charities that we will share and distribute the money between. The money raised from this page will also be given to the charities. The 2 charities we have chosen are: Purple Hearts and Eastbourne Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
Purple Hearts is a youth group for young people living with epilepsy, their parent, carers and siblings. They aim to spread awareness of this misunderstood and debilitating illness. At the youth group their youngsters play pool, table tennis, play on the Wii, craft table and also have entertainers for the youngsters. They take the children out on trips and support and advise parents/carers where they can, it's a place to make friends and feel happy in a safe environment with people that understand.
Eastbourne ICU is very local but isn't an organisation or charity. It is a part of the hospital that we feel doesn't get very much recognition and we would like to help them raise not only money to help but also more recognition. The money raised from this event will contribute to more equipment in the unit.
