Weʼve raised £1,010 to Refurbish and aid the maintenance of MORPETH FLORAL CLOCK

Funded on Monday, 31st December 2018

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

The floral clock in Carlisle Park Morpeth has not worked for eight years and was looking rather sad, even the box hedge numerals had got blight.

When we heard that Northumberland County Council was considering its removal, the Friends of Morpeth's Floral Clock was born. We have been busy over Christmas and are now a fully constituted group with a bank account for public donations.

Our goal is to have the clock returned to its full glory in time for the summer judging of the 2018 Britain in Bloom competition, in which Morpeth has been chosen to represent Northumberland. It is one of only four in England and we believe it would be of tremendous public interest, attracting many visitors to the town.
