Weʼve raised £816 to Help Fund Mr Sin's Ongoing Treatment

    Story

We at Hampshire Riding Therapy Centre are raising funds to help pay towards a recent vets bill for one of our most popular and well loved horses, Mr Sin. This horse has given so many people the confidence to fulfil their dreams and aspirations and now the tables have turned and he needs our help!

    The Cause

HRTC is a registered charity dedicated to the provision of riding tuition and therapy to adults and children with all kinds of disabilities and special needs. Since the floods we experienced in 2013, we have found things financially difficult. We do operate a riding school business, however, a recent vet call out has set us back quite considerably. We are asking for donations to help pay this vets bill, because without Sin, the centre would be a very different place.

    About Mr Sin

Mr Sin is a 22 year old black cob, standing at 15 hands tall. He has been working with us at Hampshire Riding Therapy centre for the last 15 years where he has become one of our most well-known and popular horses, a legend of HRTC if you like! Sin is a competent all rounder, used for complete beginners to advanced riders. He has entered many in house dressage competitions and showing classes (always being peoples first choice!), been on beach rides, fancy dress rides, cross country... the list goes on, and on, and on! He is a true gentleman, absolutely adores his cuddles and pampering, and has been a real confidence giver for many of our clients, able and disabled, over the years... Even people who thought they'd never be able to sit on a horse have been able to enjoy the freedom of riding because of his unique empathy.

His health problems started in 2010 when he began to be affected by change in the seasons, mainly the pollen and dust levels, which started to effect his breathing. Later on, Sin's allergies developed into COPD, which requires ongoing veterinary treatment for the rest of his life. Due to the recent pollen count, Sin started to have difficulty with his COPD which was effecting his breathing and started to stress him, resulting in mild colic which needed veterinary attention.

    Your Support

Your kind gestures and support will allow the charity to continue forward in getting Sin the care he needs. He is a huge asset to the centre and has given us so much. Any donation, no matter how small, will be hugely appreciated for this one in a million horse!

Thank you, from all of us.
