Inspired by our pupils who are always keen to support charities and are the first to think about the needs of others; and also being personally motivated to improve our fitness levels (with impending big birthdays this year). We decided to train for the Bristol 10K so that we could raise money for our school and give something back to the children in our school community. With limited school budgets and increased expectations on our pupils we would like to raise funds to provide additional reading support to pupils and enable them to feel more confident and develop a love of reading.

We started our journey in September and have been spurred along by the children as they watch us set off on our lunchtime runs and also by the staff/pupil circuits group that we train with weekly.

Are we quite ready for it? Who knows... but we're going to do it; and, as we say to the children 'be our brilliant best'.
