Schedule 20 treatments to the original lesion have completed, with four to go on the secondary site, with no further sites so far being found. Thereafter it will be a waiting game. In the meantime the improvement of the visible disfigurement continues to improve such that there is only a very small area that is not new skin which, if things continue as they have, will slough off soon. Thanks to the forbearance of Medics attending to Muriel, treatment continues with them accepting that payment will be forthcoming in time. Half way through on the first lesion and the improvement continues to the extent that by far the majority of the area is now new skin rather than the horrendous unsightly lesion it was. I never expected such dramatic improvement in so short a period. Having had her weekly consultation with the Oncologist, the 2nd site also reduced, and on full examination no further sites located. Muriel has had 12 radiation treatments on the original lesion, and 6 to a growth discovered at the commencement of treatment. There is measurable improvement at both sites, the visible one being obvious even to the untrained eye. I am told Muriel is typically upbeat, optimistic and positive. I think in her own way she is enjoying getting out for change :-) and I am told she is more sprightly what with having all the exercise she is getting going to and from. She wants all you kind people to know how much she appreciates you help and kindness.
