Funded on Monday, 20th June 2022

    Story

On the 9th of April i’ll be doing a skydive as Jack and I are raising money for the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital to donate in our wee mans name. We would like to raise as much as possible in his name so as a huge thank you to anyone who does donate we have bought a overnight spa break for 2 with dinner and breakfast included at the Lochside hotel and for every £5 donated you will get a number (e.g £5 = 1 number, £10 = 2 numbers and so on). After the skydive is complete we will put all numbers into an online generator and do a live draw, winner gets a wee relaxing day/night away! Details on the spa package can be found on our facebook pages.

Here’s a bit about our wee man and why we want to raise money for the hospital:

Anyone that knew us knew Murphy was our world, we treated him just like our baby from the day we got him. As most know we lost Murphy at Christmas at only 18 months old. Over 4 appointments with Murphy’s own vets we were repeatedly told Murphy was a bright boy and they were not concerned and his symptoms we were describing were dismissed, the 5th time we tried to get an appointment we were told he wasn’t urgent and were to call the emergency vet if he was that unwell. That same day we did, they then referred us straight to the Small Animal Hospital as Murphy was extremely unwell and as the SAH were specialists they felt his best chance to recover was there. Devastatingly we lost Murphy due to a kidney infection that had been caused by an untreated UTI.

From the second Murphy arrived at the SAH they took the best care of him and for 9 days straight they continued to try everything to save our baby boy however the damage had already been done and Murphy lost his fight. We cannot thank them enough for keeping him comfortable in his final days. Every person we spoke to in person or on the phone had been amazing with us. We refused to let Murphys life be lost in vain which is why we would like to raise money which we can donate in his name which will allow them to continue their excellent work and save peoples precious pets.

Both the skydive and the lochside spa package have been paid for already, so every penny that is raised goes straight to the Small animal hospital.

As Jack and I both work full time we will send everyone their numbers at the end of each day so please don’t panic if we don’t get back to you straight away.

We will appreciate each and every donation, big or small, or even just a share of this status.

We miss you more everyday Wee man 💙
