Weʼve raised £540 to support local cricket club to replace two specialist cylinder mowers that were stolen by mindless uneducated degenerates

    Story

The New Bradwell cricket club has been at the heart of the community dating back past the 1950s. It is a members club but opens its kind and warm welcome to the community throughout the year and is ran by volunteers. On a hot sunny afternoon, watching the old English game of cricket, the sound of ball off the bat as it goes for a 4 or a 6, the shout of HOWZAT as the bowler turns to the umpire, all this is what makes the game, but also the maintenance of the field and the crease.

As with all sports clubs in the UK, the pressured impact of increased running costs means many clubs depend on grants to help out with the sport side of the club with buying the equipment and also the clubs holding fundraisers to help. Recently the club has had two specialist cylinder mowers stolen by what can only be described as mindless thieves.

This has hurt the club as not only the volunteers, but the players, players partners, members put a lot of effort into maintaining the grounds so they can not only enjoy the game they play but to make a warm welcome for the community to come and watch.
The club does not have the spare finance to replace and not able to request further grants.

The club needs your help to replace these cylinder mowers to keep the ground maintenance at the requirement standard for the cricket league and to keep this great, family welcoming club to stand for many more years to come.

All money raised will go straight to the club to purchase new equipment. Any level of donation is greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Steve

I have been a member of the cricket club for over 10 years - whilst I do not play cricket, the love I have for the club is second to none. It is one of the rare clubs that has a great friendly family environment - it is like an extended family.
