We are the Wellingborough North NCS group. NCS is a government-backed initiative that provides young people from the ages 15-17 the opportunity to develop vital life skills while making friends, giving back to the community and taking on new challenges and experiences that will enhance job and university applications. As part of our social action project we have volunteered at the Victoria Centre to start a club to help the Eastern Europeans coming into the Wellingborough community. We are hoping to bring everyone together to create one big community eliminating the divide and also the stereotypes. In addition, we are running a fundraiser on Friday 20th July, where there will be celebrations of cultures as well as other fun activities. Money raised from this along with any donations will go towards getting a coffee machine for the club and toys for children to play with, and helping the Victoria Centre to continue to run all their helpful services
