Hi we are 6K a group from NCS our age range is 15-16 and we have created a project that is hoping to break the stigma around mental health and depression.

For the past two weeks I have been part of a program called NCS which encourages young people to make a difference to their local community.

We as a group have decided to focus our thoughts on the area of mental health and how we can not only help those suffering, but help others understand what mental health really means. The key is to get people talking about it and to break the stigma surrounding it.

However we can not do this alone we need your help as everyone has to start someone where. And we have decided to start on our home town Rochford; and help our local mental health unit. Rochford health care unit though we would very much like to expand to other areas.

How can you help, to get things going we need funds, funds that will help create gift packages for the residents at the care unit; in this care package will be paints, board games, puzzles and much more as well as a joint luxury item decided by the residents them self.
