We can't help everyone that needs help, but perhaps we can help some and genuinely make a difference in their lives.

What Neil & Estrella need now is to rebuild their 30 metre square home as quickly as possible, so they can then start to rebuild their lives. They are hard-working people, with a small grocery stall.

They need $2,000 (£1,500) to rebuild their house - they will use steel material since that is much cheaper than wood. $2000 is enough for that - they will start building it as soon as this Monday and can finish within 2-3 weeks depending on their funds. Of course, 2-3 weeks is Christmas, so wouldn't it be a great Christmas present for them?

I already sent them $500 to start them off - they will use this money to buy a generator, since there is still no electric in the area and they need a welding machine to build.

They have collected clothing donations from friends and family and are not asking me for help, I offered to help them.

Shall we pull together and see if we can help to give them the best Christmas present?

I would be grateful and more importantly, so too would Neil, Estrella and their family.

Here is their home now...it used to have a second floor for bedrooms.
