Hi everyone, every one on here knows Neil Burgess and his boy Buddy. Not sure if you all know Buddy's story. Buddy when he was 10 weeks old broke his leg, his then owners took him to a vet who put the leg in plaster, they were told to bring him back to have the plaster removed they never went back.
Buddy came into rescue at 18 months old his back leg was very deformed SWGSD took him up to our vets where he was x-rayed. Buddy needed surgery his metacarpal joint had been badly broken causing the foot to become deformed. Buddy was suffering pain, this was not a problem he could live with. Buddy had surgery costing £1500 after which he had hydrotherapy costing £500.
Buddy has been to our vet today as he has now a problem with his other back leg due to the surgery, he used his good leg to compensate for his bad leg now due to this he has snapped his cruciate ligament. This ligament connects the back of the femur (the bone above the knee) with the front of the tibia (the bone below the knee). Buddy needs surgery. The surgery will cost between £2500-£3000 with out this surgery Buddy has around 6-8 months before he can no longer walk and would have to be euthanised. We here at SWGSD do not want this to happen Buddy went to Neil with this condition so we will fund his surgery This is where you guys come in we need your help can you spare any thing to help us pay for Buddy's surgery
