Last Tuesday at about 16.30, John collapsed in Gordons Chemist in Musselburgh. It was clear very quickly that John was having a Cardiac Arrest. The staff ran to the Rotary sponsored AED at my shop and I, along with Fiona, administered first aid and attached the AED unit to analyse Johns heart. It did, and instructed us to shock him! The rest is history and thankfully John is recovering well in hospital Today.

One thing is for sure, we need more units in Musselburgh and we need them to be 24 hour access! At the moment we only have two available 24 hours a day and that is not enough! Time is everything in these situations!
