My brilliant friend Sarah Brigham has a rare form of cancer in her windpipe, which cannot be operated on and will not respond to radiotherapy or chemotherapy. The best option for treatment now is Carbon Ion Therapy, which will hopefully stop the cancer from growing or spreading and may offer the best long term prognosis. However, the only place Sarah can get this is in Heidleberg and it cannot be funded by the NHS. Therefore we need to raise £60,000 so she can receive this treatment. This is a large sum of money, but Team Brig-Aid are here to help.

As part of this campaign, I pledge to run the London Marathon next year. The longest race I’ve ran is 10 miles and last time I ran it I ended up running 7 miles on a broken foot, so I have been put off of running for some time!! Before the marathon I'm going to enter smaller races to keep motivated - and have now signed up for the 10 mile Great South Run in oct (the race that broke my foot!). Training has started my friends. These lanky legs are gonna keep leggin' it!

I cannot explain how much Sarah has supported and inspired me through work and my day to day life over the last 9 years; I love her dearly and as part of Team Brig-Aid I am positive we can raise the money needed because I know that so many people feel the same about her.
