We are back again. I know many of you have given so much already, but sadly things have changed. Kesava, our son, as many of you know, suffers from an extremely rare form of cancer called a synovial sarcoma. He defied all the odds after his first treatment and was in remission for a year. This was a miraculous achievement in this highly aggressive cancer. Devastatingly, the cancer has returned and this time we have been told conventional therapies such as surgery and radiotherapy are not an option. We are utterly crushed – there are no words. Kesava has started the only chemotherapy treatment still available to him which if successful will give him 12 to 18 months.

At this point our only options are alternative therapies or clinical trials. We have seen some encouraging data from leading medical practitioners within the European Community on this much under researched cancer. In order for us to pursue any possible options we need to ask for help.

We know many of our friends, family and well wishers have given to Kesava already to travel and that fund has remained intact and his dearest wish is that, while he is well, he can use it for that purpose.

Today, we have an even bigger ask.

In order for us to fight this battle not only do we need funds to consider alternative treatment options but lifestyle changes have also had to be made as Kesava’s father has had to give up work to provide the full time care he now needs.

We are asking everyone that knows Kesava – friends, family, acquaintances – please please find something, a pound, a dollar, less or more. Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated. If you are not in a position to contribute that is understandable - all we ask is if you could share this with your friendship network.
