Story
More than 300,000 people in the UK alone have Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis which is growing rapidly. One person is diagnosed every 30 minutes. Both of these illnesses are lifelong conditions which have a profound effect on an individual’s day to day living when it comes to working, socialising and/or holidaying.
I have many close friends and family that are suffering at the hands of one or both of these diseases, which is why I decided to challenge myself by lacing up my pumps and pounding the pavements for the Fleet 10K.
I am far from being an athlete, but the older I get the more I feel like I want to challenge myself, and by supporting a charity close to my heart gives me the tenacity and determination to succeed.
The smallest contribution you make will help towards providing pioneering research and support for every person who suffers from this life changing diagnoses and ensuring they are not alone!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to complete the FLEET 10K before they re-open the roads ....a 2hr window)xxxx
