    Story

Shepway Chariots community garden project in Shepway Maidstone has been transforming half an acre of disused flytipped land into a fully function wild life corner. growing fresh fruit and vegetables for the community with the community. We also hold childrens gardening club on Saturdays called Shepway Shallots and feed the homeless and the vulnerable down in Maidstone. Along with many other activities. We have recently discovered that there is contaminated soil with asbestos and are trying to raise the funds needed to safely remove and dispose of this contaminated soil in order to install our community kitchen unit. We need as much help as possible.

I visited with some year R children recently, they had a fabulous time being outside making bird feeders etc. The volunteers do a wonderful job. I hope you can raise enough to get the soil cleared.
