Located south of the border town of Plumtree and in Mangwe District, Zimbabwe, is a community working hard to built a clinic to serve a wide community comprising of four villages,Izimnyama, Osabeni,Vaka and Macingwana. The nearest health centre is about 20 km away in Plumtree town.

The community has taken the initiative to construct a clinic by contributing their labour and some monetary contributions.

As a small group of men and women in the diaspora we have embarked on a good cause of building a medium sized clinic to serve these communities. This agenda came after observing baby clinics and other health related activities being carried under a big nearby tree.

With support from a small group of people in the diaspora the community have managed to build and complete a nurses’ house.

Over 12000 bricks have been moulded and ready for use, some cement bags and other building materials are ready, the villagers are in the process of digging the foundation of the main building.

Our hands are now falling short financially and we would like to appeal for any type of donations to help and finish the dream clinic of the determined community.

We envisage the cost of completing the clinic to be about £40000.00.
