As many of you know, Olivia arrived 7 weeks and 6 days early after a very worrying pregnancy.
Olivia went straight into the NICU of West Middlesex hospital needing help with her breathing, she stayed for 5 days before being transfered to Chelsea and Westminster where they feared she may need an operation for Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Thankfully she didn't need the operation and was able to be transfered to Hillingdon where she had the remainder of her care before being finally discharged after spending 5 weeks and 1 day in hospital.
The Neonatal nurses and doctors do an amazing job daily and we will be ever grateful to them!
My amazing friends have agreed to do a colour rush obstacle race with me to help us raise money and give something back to these amazing units.
Olivia did need to go back into hospital after being home for 2 weeks as she developed brohncilitis but recovered well and continues to go from strength to strength. Her consultant is really pleased with her progress and we continue to be in awe of the little girl who fought so hard in the first weeks of her life.
