Story

A number of the staff, parents, children and supporters of the Oasby Music Group, an independent music group in Lincolnshire, will be taking Grade 1 in an instrument we do not already play in 3 months!

The aim is to raise funds to send our two advanced chamber ensembles on our 1st ever international tour. Next February, we will embark on a musical, cultural, educational and social visit to Belgium. While there, the children will perform 2 concerts and explore many of the cultural highlights.

Please support us in our aim to pass Grade 1 (with flying colours!) - every penny will motivate those hours of practise!

The results are in!! Everyone passed and there were some amazing Distinction marks in the 140s (out of 150!) All the tutors got full marks in their aural (phew!) Thank you for all the sponsorship so far...this is all going towards helping us take our intermediate and advanced players on our first ever tour.

We have 30 parents, staff and children taking part in this challenge - early practise is going well! New notes are being learnt and lots of fun is being had working out how to put the instruments together, which notes are which and your sponsorship is really encouraging us all! Thank you
