Help feed those most in need.

One Hot Meal is fundraising to enable delivery of at least one hot, nutritious meal each week to those most in need in London EC1 and its borders.

One Hot Meal has been founded by hospitality company The Zetter Group who have teamed up with Clerkenwell Mutual Aid (and their army of generous volunteers) to identify and deliver to those who are most vulnerable. This includes the elderly, those on low or no income, the disabled and people with other pre-existing health issues.

The Zetter has been forced to close the doors of its hotels and restaurant during the COVID-19 crisis, but wanted to turn their efforts to supporting their community. Everyone involved is giving their time free of charge, from The Zetter’s Head Chef Rasheed, to the kind hearted volunteers at Clerkenwell Mutual Aid who are delivering the freshly cooked meals, ready to eat.

We made our first delivery of 60 meals last week and the feedback has been fantastic from so many, grateful people. We are all hoping we can, not only, deliver these meals regularly but increase the number and frequency of meals we produce. To do this, we need to ask your support to help cover the costs of the excellent fresh produce used. Already some of our suppliers are generously supporting our efforts.

Clerkenwell Mutual Aid are a volunteer group set up to help our neighbours in Clerkenwell and Bunhill through the coronavirus crisis. Since they started on 16th March, more than 360 people have joined as volunteers. A group of coordinators answer phone calls, emails and social-media messages from 7am until 10pm 7 days a week, and they match up anyone who needs help with a volunteer who lives nearby. So far, they've helped more than 160 households with grocery shopping, prescription pick-ups, friendly phone calls, dog walking and hot food. For more information please visit their website.
