    Story

Rydym yn gofyn am eich help! Rhowch beth bynnag gallwch i’n organ, os ydy e’n £5, £50, £500 neu mwy tuag at sicrhau dyfodol disglair i ddathliad treftadaeth Cymreig Merthyr Tudful yn Theatr Soar. Ein targed yw £10,000.

Mae Canolfan Soar yn Ganolfan Gymraeg sydd yn gartref i sefydliadau Cymraeg ardal Merthyr Tudful. Mae'r Ganolfan yn cynnwys Theatr Cymunedol sydd wedi ein galluogi ni i ehangu ein gwaith yn y gymuned. O fewn adeilad y Theatr mae gennym 'Peter Conacher & Co Grand Two- Manual Organ'. Gosodwyd yr organ yn yr 1880au oedd am gost o £1,500.

Bwriedir codi cyfanswm o £300,0000 er mwyn:

    1. Adfer yr organ i'w chyflwr gwreiddiol.

    2. Cynnal rhaglen o weithgareddau, gweit

hdai, cyrsiau a pherfformiadau cymunedol er mwyn codi ymwybyddiaeth am dreftadaeth Merthyr Tudful ymhlith plant, pobl ifanc ac oedolion.

    3. Cyflogi Swyddog Treftadaeth i arwain a gweithredu'r prosiect am gyfnod o dair blynedd.

Rydym wedi llwyddo denu cyllid i ddatblygu’n cynllun gan Gronfa Loteri’r Treftadaeth. Fel rhan o’n cais rownd derfynol rydym am godi swm o £10,000 tuag at atgyweirio’r organ erbyn mis Tachwedd 2018.

Cynhelir prosiect i beilota gweithgareddau amrywiol yn ystod ein cyfnod datblygu. Mae ‘r prosiect yma m

ewn cydweithrediad ag Artis Community a Breaking Barriers yn cynnwys prosiectau symud a dawns, arlunio, casglu atgofion a ffilmio a chanu. Gweler lluniau o’r gweithgareddau di-ri.

Diolch o galon am eich cefnogaeth.

We're looking for your help! Please give whatever you can to our organ, be it £5, £50, £500 or more towards securing a bright future to the Welsh heritage celebration of Merthyr Tydfil in Theatr Soar. Our target is £10,000.

Canolfan Soar is a Welsh Centre and is home to Welsh establishments in the area of Merthyr Tydfil. The centre includes a Community Theatre which has enabled us to expand our community work. Within the Theatre building is a 'Peter Conacher & Co Grand Two- Manual Organ'. The organ was placed in the 1880s for a cost of £1500.

We intend to raise a total of £300,0000 in order to:

    1. Restore the organ to it's original condition.

    2. Carry out a programme of events, workshops, courses and community performances to raise awareness of Merthyr Tydfil's heritage among children, young people and adults.

    3. Employ a Heritage Officer to conduct and implement the project for a period of three years.

We have successfully secured funding to develop the project by the Heritage Lottery Fund. As part of our final round application, we must raise a total amount of £10,000 towards the repair of the organ by November 2018.

    We gratefully appreciate your support.
