We are raising money in order to build a small ecological earthbag hyperadobe bermed house in France. The house would be self sufficient and would uses simple technologies such as dry toilets, Rainwater harvesting or solar and Wind energies.

What's this ?

Hyperadobe earthbag is a building system that consist on filling continuous tubes of mesh bags (same as fruit packing bags) with soil.
This technique is by far the cheapest, fastest and safest !

Why Earthbag ?

Earth is a commodity! Humanity used as the material for thousands of years to build homes, even in France. Shunned since the arrival of its close cousin the concrete, in the 50s, it returned to date. Its ecological with aesthetic benefits.
Contrary to popular belief, this building system is possible almost anywhere. Half the world's population lives in a mud house and not concrete. These buildings are environmentally friendly and virtually indestructible: some are still standing after thousands of years !

In Western countries, the construction sector is guzzling and highly issuer of greenhouse gases. In addition, building a house engulfed the household budget.
Earthbag concept allows to use local products (Soil found on site) and at a low cost. The bags can be filled with dirt, sand (or other material), based on locally available resources. It's also easy to build.

The project is to build with a small team of volonteers a half bermed 50 m2 house. Small is beautiful but also easier to build, to maintain, to heat.

The cost :

We estimate the cost around 8,700 euros for the minimum option (the building of foudation, flooring, plastering and roofing).
Then we add water furnitures, Wastewater and grey water management, Electricity, Piping and Heating devices.

- House: 8,700 euros
- Furniture water, including solar water heater: 3.600 euros
- Tank cover freshwater: 2.000 euros
- Solar Electricity: 2,600 euros

Global cost 16.900 euros.
