Kanifin Clinic is a dedicated Mother and Baby unit providing much needed ante/post natal care for young women in a poor area of West Africa. At present they have no access to hot water during delivery/post delivery of babies. Facilities for bathing new born babies or Mums are non existent, which is hazardous. for both Mother and Baby health. We have secured a solar water heating system which will be invaluable , but due to the fact that the clinic is self supporting they do not have the resources to have the system installed. We have an association with a local builder who is prepared to do this work, but most of the materials required have to be imported which of course makes the work more expensive than we anticipated. We are anxious to get this work completed as soon as possible for obvious reasons
