Panjab Radio was set up in 2000 and its main aim was to provide a platform for South Asian community in the UK, Panjab Radio has now become a life support of the Panjabi community. Its programming has focused on the vital information needed by the community. Daily phone-in programmes focussed on the information provided by experts from medical, travel, immigration, local MPS, councillors aswell as providing information on people stranded in UK and other countries daily updates from UK

As we all know, COVID-19 Lockdown has adversely effected almost all of the businesses, with majority of the advertisers deciding to stop their advertisements (due to the businesses not operating) Panjab Radio lost its main source of revenue.

Tarsem Singh Sehda and Pawan Kumar from Southend -On- Sea felt that Panjab Radio also needs community financial support, Tarsem Singh Sehda and Pawan Kumar decided to undertake a 50-mile bike ride on 28th June to raise funds for Panjab Radio’s running costs. This will help Panjab Radio to continue providing programmes to benefit the community.
