    UPDATE! WEEK2

A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY WHO HAS DONATED TO THIS WORTHWHILE PROJECT. WE HAVE GIVEN THE GO AHEAD TO START THE RENOVATION OF THE SHOP. CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE OUR JUST GIVING PAGE TO ANYBODY YOU KNOW THAT MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP THESE LOVELY LADIES GENERATE AN INCOME BY SELLING GIFTS AND RUNNING A TAILORING SHOP.

WE ARE NOW IN A POSITION TO SELL OUR GOODS AND I WILL POST SOME PHOTOGRAPHS ONLINE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ORDER ANYTHING YOU CAN PAY WITH THE PROJECTS PAY PAL ACCOUNT AND WE WILL BRING THEM BACK WITH US

We are a group of 3 friends who have travelled to Patan, Nepal in October,. We are helping support, and interact with the many families affected by the earthquake in 2015.

We are staying in a Christian Mission house and our aim is to build a pop up micro business for the local women to take ownership of and develop. This will be in the form of sewing bags, cushions and other saleable items using the many lovely local fabrics. These ladies will then sell anything they make at local markets generating an income for them.

We have now found our ladies a shop in a good local area. We have 3 supervisors, 2 of which are qualified in tailoring a good form of extra income as so many of their beautiful outfits are hand made.

We will also spend as much time as possible with the children. They are in desperate need of warm clothing and blankets. We have distributed some of our childrens clothing, knitted jumpers and blankets. Tonight we will visit the hospital where many babies have been abandoned by very poor mothers and take some baby clothing that was donated by you lovely people and then tomorrow be driven into the outlying hills to some extremely poor villages to distrubute the rest of our donated items.

We are so privileged in our lives and we know if we work together we can help " CHANGE LIVES IN NEPAL".

Thank you everybody for your kindness and generosity. You cannot believe how much your donations are helping our lovely ladies. They work tirelessly and cheerfully every day and are producing some awesome work. We have identified somewhere they can use as a shop but it needs a lot of renovating. Can you help us to help make a difference. We have also someone coming to see us tomorrow who might be interested in our goods
