Story
Dear Potential Sponsor,
I am participating in the Great North Run this year, September 10th 2017. The Silloth First Responders are a local ambulance team in our home town and so much more. I can’t thank them enough for the excellent service they provided my grandparents in their final years with us and I am sure all in our town have, in some way, benefited from their assistance. For this reason I want to give back to our community and keep this fantastic service available to us all.
For those that don’t know; the Great North Run is a half marathon (13.1 miles) through Newcastle out to the coastal town of South Shields. I aim to run this in under 3 hours but will be pleased to even cross that finish line of my own accord. I ask you please dig deep for my chosen cause…
Thank you!

7 years agoSo another update... another 5k tonight, which was difficult. took routes up by Beamish in the woods. lots of mud and uphill, was difficult but worth while. i think the 10k from a couple days ago took it out of me.. still... only 23 days to go to the big day..

7 years agoWell it's been tough but fun.. I've been trying more recently to stick to the 5k runs through the week and progress into the 10k on weekends. I can happily say I've exceeded that and now steadily run 10k through the week too.. Think I'll try a 10 mile before the end of August in prep for the day. Thanks for all the donations so far and please keep giving..
