As a Cornwall Councillor, I work closely with my local community. Unfortunately 4 1/2 years ago I suffered a catastrophic stroke and was hospitalised for a number of weeks. What made a difference and helped my recovery were my daily visits from family and friends. They lit up my days and I didn't feel so lonely. I would like to raise money to purchase iPads for St Julias and Mount Edgcumbe Hospice and Camborne/Redruth Community Hospital. During this crisis, this will allow patients to communicate and stay in touch with their loved ones.
