Yesterday evening 3rd January we had a fireball in our kitchen, caused by one of our cats turning on the grill slightly, thankfully no one was hurt. However the loud bang when it occurred scared our 9 cats 6 of which are rescues. The result was that loki our rescue cat attacked peanut our bengal cross kitten of 16 months who has downs syndrome. This scuffle resulted with peanut being injured in his eye.
After visiting the vet we found he needs surgery to repair the damage. The surgery is going to cost approximately £500. I need help to raise this money as I have already used up my vet fund on vet fees today. Any help would be greatly appreciated as peanut is such a special boy. He has to have his eyeball a braided to remove the flap caused when his eye was injured. He also has to have his third eyelid sewn across his eye for three weeks hopefully healing the damage.
