Story
The news was heartbreaking, more than 500 people were dead and thousands were injured and lost their shelters by the deadly 7.3 magnitude earthquake in Iran-Iraq earthquake. Help is urgently needed to supply them by water, food, blankets and warm clothes.
We are far from home, worrying about friends and families in the region but nothing is stopping us from sending our help to the people affected by this disaster. On behalf of the University of Sheffield Persian Society, we will aim to raise £3000 to send it directly to one of the most reliable charities in Iran.

Having spoken to many charities in Iran, we chose Child Foundation UK as our final pick. The reason behind this is their great efforts in helping children to go back to school, who are the most vulnerable group among the affected people.
