East Durham gymnastics club are a locally based group who completely source and fund everything themselves. As equipment gets used every week it gets very tired looking and broken, which then in turn cannot be used as the health and safety of the gymnasts always comes first. This gymnastics club has a great base and foundation which has grown over the last few years with numerous kids wanting to join, but due to a lack of qualified coaches they have to turn these requests down. Some of the money we hope to raise will go towards putting some of the more senior members of the group through qualifications that would mean they could teach gymnastics, and in turn be able to grow the club through being able to accept new members. Equipment for these sports is specialist and for that reason carries a specialist price tag, we would love to raise enough to buy the club any new equipment they feel they would need.
