Phoenix Hen Rescue are a truly inspirational group of people who are incredibly dedicated to rescuing and rehoming hens and any other animals they can! One of they major parts of the work Phoenix Hen Rescue does is rescuing ex-commercial laying hens. This means that they go to commercial egg laying farms and save many hens from the slaughter they would otherwise face. All of my current flock were rescued by Phoenix. Without their help, it's more than likely that all of my hens would not be alive today.
It is truly heartbreaking for me to imagine a world without my beautiful rescue hens, and without Phoenix, hundreds of hens would have never seen the outside world or experienced the care and compassion they truly deserve. I will forever be grateful for the work of Phoenix Hen Rescue, and I would be so happy if you would join me to say a big thank you to these amazing people, and help to expand their impact to save as many hens as possible!
Any money we raise will go towards rescue costs, vets fees and will essentialy allow Phoenix to save even more gorgeous hens! On the 28th January 2017, there will be a rescue and rehoming of caged hens. These hens will have spend 18 months in cages by the time they are finally liberated. The environment is cramped and extremely restrictive. They have never seen the sun or experienced the real outside world. Imagine the difference we could make if enough money is raised to save even more of these deserving hens!
