Story
As many of you will be aware i was recently diagnosed as having oral cancer and have already had my first dose of Chemotherapy. After the initial shock i am now back to normal positivity levels. With help from my family we have decided to have a bit of fun with 1 of the side effect of Chemo and they will be choping off all my hair before it drops off of its own accord. Winnie, Kevi, Colin, Katy & Emmy will all be having ago but unfortunately Layna isn't well enough to take part. They will start off by adding a bit of colour before the clippers dive into action.. There are plenry of photos coveing every stage and every oenny raused will be going to MacMillan Cornhill Supprt Group. Anything that you contribute will be massively appreciated as i aim to raise £500.
Thank you,
phil

1 year ago4 weeks into my 6 weeks of intensive Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy and what a rocky road so far. Had to get over my Claustrophobia for starters to even allow them to clamp me into that horror mask. Massive thanks to all the radiographers I have met and especially the receptionists who have all gone over and above to make me feel relaxed and encouraged me every step of the way. The low points have been the constant oral thrush along with very sore and bleeding lips which have reduced me to having most food as liquid through my PEG tube.

1 year agoWell that’s me started my 6 weeks of intensive treatments including chemotherapy once a week and Radiotherapy 5 days a week. So far so good but very early days. I will keep the page open until after the Parlour Derby being run by Perthshire Brass who are making a donation from their proceeds,

1 year agoDue to a brilliant offer from Perthshire Brass Band who are going to make a donation to this cause from their upcoming race night I’ve decided to keep this page going until the end of July. They will be holding the race night on the 8th July at the Saints Club in Barossa Street, full details to follow. I will be starting my 6 weeks of intensive treatment on the 2nd May so things may well be quite quiet for a while. Once again, many thanks to all who have supported me and given me the courage to meet this head on.
