    Story

PRESS UPS TO NORWAY AND BACK 2500

Having served over 40 years in total with the British Army we have certainly our fair share of both 'good' and 'bad' life experiences and have unfortunately witnessed and know of many Service Brother & Sister effected by being on Military Operations over this time.

Those effected have either a very visual obvious life changing injury seen by many each and every day (physical) or, a life changing injury not very obvious and not often seen daily by 'anyone' (mental injury/illness/PTSD)

To that end we feel driven to offer something in return and give some of OUR time to those that have been affected through the Veterans charity: "Turn To Starboard" so that we can offer some help to fellow Veterans. (http://www.turntostarboard.co.uk/)

On the 1st of July my career long friend Jeff Howe and myself will be riding from Llanfairfechan in North Wales through to Oslo in Norway and back again, covering some 2500 miles and transiting 9 countries (Wales, England, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Denmark) over a 10 day period

To make things more challenging for us both we will be matching every mile ridden on our motorbikes with a Press Up & a Squat over the 10 day period. "That is: 2500 Press Ups and 2500 Squats EACH!"!

Every day from 1st of July at the start of the journey through to the 10th of July where the journey ends, we will be posting 'vlogs' and 'blogs' of our journey and our physical challenges of the day. We will endeavour to post videos from a variety of locations and settings along the way.

    All we ask is this:

Please donate to this worthy cause and support Britains Veterans you can do this simply by pressing 'Donate' on the JustGiving page and donate.

    OR:

You can join us in our physical challenge, and match our press ups and squats daily, post a high speed video on FB to show yourself doing the challenge and then press 'Donate' and donate an amount.

We aim to raise £2500.00 at least and with your support we can achieve this.

Thanks from Philip Maddox & Jeff Howe
