I am very, very lucky as I near 5 years of living with lung cancer. The team who look after me are amazing and their ward could really use the funds to improve what they can offer. Please read my poem and consider donating to a very worthy cause.

Five Alive

It’s nearly five and I’m still alive
Those years have seen much change
Been on treatment then off
It’s sometimes very strange

Don’t know what my future holds
Do know I cherish each and every day
Surrounded by your love and support
I will surely find a way

Every three weeks since November
I have been to sit in the chair
Take my meds, and cannula from a member
Of the lovely team, there to care

So as this macabre anniversary reaches me
I would lik
e to mark it well, make it less scary

Then my grateful thanks are forever yours
If I can reach thousand round
