    Story

Fundraising for local Mens Mental Health, Platform1.

Some of you will know of the Mens Sheds Community Group i set up in 2015, well the group has come a long way under the lead of Gez Walsh, he and his team have taken the group to a whole new level and have now secured independance and charity status as Platform1 !!

Platform1, based in St George’s Square, is a local Huddetsfield charity supporting men living in isolation due to mental health or addiction issues.

Gez Walsh & Bob are opening their doors to men of all circumstances to share support and enjoy activities such as joinery , bike maintenance, up cycling, upholstery, gardening, art & education projects.

With crisis intervention, signposting, counselling & valuable peer support every man who walks through the door is welcomed and encouraged to take part in anything or nothing! Cup of tea is always to hand !

This charity has grown to be a community within itself where men can go & feel part of something important .

Relying on local support at the moment Platform1 really needs your help! Every penny goes directly to the project!

Their first Fundraising event as Platform1 is a big challenge but one that many supporters are willing to do for a fantastic cause and a brilliant day out!

Those who are wanting to run, please email Fundraising.pfm1@gmail.com.

You can share this CrowdFunding page with all your friends & family & help us to raise funds to keep the community project going while they ate new and working hard to secure long term funds & grants.

You can also raise cash funds and take them along to the group in person or contact me to collect.

Please offer your support to this new & small charity who are making a HUGE differance to local mens lifes.
