We have just cancelled this year's summer holiday for our family following the devastating news that our son's mum has been diagnosed with a very rare aggressive cancer called Burkitt's Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Treatment has just started and we are hoping for successful outcome. Our son said, I don't mind missing out on our holiday this year, he only wants his mum to get better. It would be nice next year to give him a special holiday with his mum following the treatment. I've got some of the money back from this year's booking but it's now going to cost more for our family to travel and next year needs to be special after we have missed out on this year's holiday to focus on fighting cancer.
