Pound Dog Rescue Cyprus is a facebook page set up to help re-home many abandoned dogs locally. The pound has 2 volunteers, Ruth and Sheila, who work hard to care for the dogs in the pound (not to mention the ones they have to take home due to lack of room), find foster homes and forever homes, raise funds to support the maintenance of the pound and vet fees and food for the dogs. I have adopted both of my dogs from this pound and feel compelled to help them as much as I can, to that end, myself and my friend Sam are running the Plymouth 10k to raise donations and help raise awareness to potential adopters.
