    Story

Hello and welcome to our just giving page. I am going to be dying my hair a colour picked out at random by my niece to help raise money for her younger sister who will be having complex brain surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Matilda has developed an extremely rare and very dangerous form of epilepsy which has caused significant damage to one full side of her brain. Matilda has around 600 seizures per day and no medicine has currently worked. Matilda has now been placed on the emergency surgery list at Great Ormond Street Hospital to have a hemispherectomy. This means Matilda will have half of her brain removed to stop the seizures. Matilda's parents have been told that this surgery will leave her severely disabled, with loss of sight in one eye, significant developmental delays, paralysis down the right side of her body and only a 50 to 60% chance of successfully stopping her seizures. Tilly is such a beautiful happy little soul and needs all the help she can! Matilda will need lots of physio therapy and additional equipment to help her throughout life.

The future for Matilda is very much unknown and we are trying to help raise money to support Tilly and her family for whatever the future may bring! I hope you can help us in this great time of need!

Thank you so much for all your help and support!
