Gill and Joseph are an inspiration. Cheryl and Rachel wanted to help with their fundraising. We will be walking 10 k on Saturday 16th September to help raise money.

Looking at these pictures you see a boy with a huge smile but look at the picture closer and you see he continues to smile while spending the a lot of his time in a hospital.

After an amazing response to their last Just Giving page, they have decided fund raise again. They believe that Alder Hey staff dont give up on our kids and work tirelessly, devoting their time, energy and love to supporting our children, therefore, we are not giving up on raising money for such a wonderful place.

Joseph is our inspiration, no matter what life deals him he manages to carry on with a smile on his face!! He was diagnosed with brain and spinal tumours due to a condition called Neurofibromatosis type 1, in November 2015, he has lost all of his peripheral vision and is now registered partly sighted, he has hydrochephalus and is developing scoliosis. His treatment of chemotherapy started in April 2016 and will continue until April 2018, however, he never complains and always goes to school when he feels better.

He has the heart of a lion and showed just how much courage he has by going to the ONE LOVE concert after being involved in the Manchester Arena bombing. He stared fear in the face and never lets anything get him down.

Money raised by Cheryl and Rachel will be added to the just giving page Gill has once we have completed our charity walk.
