Amy is a young lady aged 13 years. Amy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a child and is unable to walk. Amy has a self propelling wheelchair that she uses in the home and had a powered wheelchair for use at school and outdoors. Unfortunately amy outgrew the power chair and it was no longer meeting her current postural needs. Amy was referred to the NHS wheelchair services by her physiotherapist but does not fit the criteria to have a power chair under the NHS. Without this power chair amy has lost a lot of her independence especially at school and is unable to go out with her friends. We are trying to raise the money to fund a new power chair at a cost of £8455.00 for amy so she can be an independent young lady at school and enjoy going out with her friends. Amy is happy young lady that would have huge benefits to having an electric power chair.
Please help amy to be an independent young lady.
