Story
After winning the local Triathlon series in Cornwall last year I decided to set my sights a little higher and go for the GB Age Group Championships in Rotterdam and compete with hundreds of other women from all over the world in my age category.
It meant spending a lot of time and effort training and travelling this year to the qualifiers for the championship in Rotterdam, I was astonished and dismayed to realise the actual cost of going once I had qualified. Horrendous entry fees, tri suit costs and accommodation and travel arrangements with a bike.
Any contribution no matter how small will greatly aid me in getting out there and hopefully doing a good job of representing Great Britain.

7 years agoMy position was 9th GB lady, and 28th out of 82 overall in my age category. still areas to work on but very pleased I have been able to compete at this level. Many thanks to everyone who helped me get to Rotterdam and have such a fab experience.

7 years agosorry for the delayed post. Been and done the tri. Was a great event. Met many nice fellow triathletes from all over. There were so many countries represented. The weather looked like it was going to be very horrible on the day of the event, but amazingly it couldn't have been the opposite. I had a good race. The water was flat and warm, I had a really good bike leg which was a fun technical course and the run was pretty good too, and undulating course through a park. Great to see supporters lining the route too cheering on everyone.
