Our beautiful son was diagnosed with Stage four, high risk Neuroblastoma last March, he was two and a half years old.
Since then, he has endured the most toxic of Cancer treatments and spent at least 80 percent of his little life in hospital. When he was first diagnosed, we were told that there was a 60% chance that our child could die within the following few months if he did not respond to the treatment. As write this, my son is in remission and after 15 months, we are in hospital completing the final stage of his treatment. We are readying ourselves for life without medical intervention. He will spend the next five years being monitored for relapse. 50% of children with Neuroblastoma, who make it through the treatment that George has received at Great Ormand Street, will relapse, and if they do, the prognosis is very poor with a minimal survival rate.
In order to try to prevent his cancer from returning, as a family, we have decided that the best course of action is to get his body healthy, and to rebuild and boost his immune system as naturally as possible. It’s time to heal my child’s body. After doing much, much research, we have decided that the best approach to prevent relapse is to introduce treatments that are naturally derived, with no nasty side effects and of course will not introduce further toxicity into my child’s tiny body. He has had enough.
We therefore intend to give our George pure CBD Oil derived from HEMP plants. This is going to cost around £300 per month for the next 5 years, and while we get back on our feet, we are trying to raise enough to cover the first year.
